Actually ended up staying 4 nights on the Stavros Restaurant Pontoon following the arise of a dental issue. Ended up at the Dentist in Nidris where a filling was repaired and antibiotic prescribed so decided to rest it out safely moored up on the pontoon. The Restaurant/Pier owner was OK with this and the rest was very welcoming. The fifth day I sailed to Vasiliki, a dream bay for Windsurfers when a southerly blows, fortunately for me at anchor there were only light westerlies to start with. Things changed after 2 nights at Vasiliki then the anchor dragged during 25+ Kts gusts. Could not get the anchor to hold and attempted to get out of the situation by mooring alongside in the local habour where I was turned away and thus headed for Sami Port. Moored alongside in Sami Port between 2 large Motor Yachts and felt safe again as during the sail there I realised the nut on the bow roller bolt had fallen off, luckily spotted it in time to save the bolt and pulley falling out. Port Sami has a lot of Restaurants, Cafes and fortunately a Chandlery or DIY shop where I located a replacement Nut and Washer, fixed the bow roller and all is well again. Spent 2 nights here, got some rest, filled up with Water and filled the Fridge with provisions. Toothache not completely gone but bearable, need to see a Dentist as soon as I return home. All in all a good week with a 25+Kts storm in between, great for the Windsurfers in Vasiliki but not for me and my anchor.
