Left Argostoli in very light wind conditions and headed for Zykanthos. Turtle spotting on the way, winds picked up and had a very good sail to Port Nikolaos on the North East coast. Hooked up on a mooring buoy owned by a restaurant and free to use if I dined there so I did :-). Managed to swim and watched a beautiful sunset. Port Zante was next on the list, a bustling harbour with some lively night time bars and cafes. A variety of restaurants and shops where I endulged. From there I took a 55NM sail to Kyparissia with 15 to 20Kts tailwind and 6 to 7kts Boatspeed, 1,5m waves which made life a little rocky but a very good sailing day which i thoroughly enjoyed. Arrived early evening, moored alongside and stayed 2 days in a well protected harbour, quite and clean. Turtles around and crystal clear water. The next passage took me to Marathopoli, wonderful sailing day with tailwinds again. The harbour, like Kyparissia, is unfinished with no facilities working, however I managed to find a water supply to fill my tanks. The holding tank has initiated an alarm showing 75% full however it is empty, a job for later on. The holding tank is still new and unused ;-).
Stayed moored in Kyparrissia for 3 days due to stormy weather with high winds, thunder, lightning and rain was forecasted, not favourable for the next planned stop which would have been at anchor . Rather wait it out and take no chances of getting caught out at anchor.
Finally got underway and the next stop was a lovely lonely bay named also under other names as Grevataki Bay where I spent the night anchored in 4m and completely alone. Nothing here but tranquility and the light slapping of water. I was finally prepared now and looking forward to the final passages to Kalamata, 10 days there and then the flight back home.
